Spazi is the title of the latest artist residency project conceived by Fallani Venezia and curated by Illustrazioni Seriali, which since 2017proposes exhibitions and insights related to the world of illustration.
Elenia Beretta, Martina Paukova, Michela Picchi, Ana Popescu, Beya Rebaï, Charlotte Trounce, internationally renowned artists and illustrators have been invited to ideate and develop an original work, each according to their artistic technique and sensitivity, which explores the concept of SPACE. The six works will become six serigraphs that the artists, together with Gianpaolo Fallani, are creating during the residency period. For a week they are participating in the process of production, processing, and printing of the graphics, confronting themselves with a technique widely used in the artistic field and still so artisanal and fascinating.
The screenprints, all 70×50 cm in size, will be printed on Fedrigoni Arena 300 grams paper, in a precious limited edition of 50 copies, signed and numbered by the artists.
The six selected artists, had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the theme of space, an intentionally expansive theme, which gave them great freedom of interpretation in the creation of their works. Space, which suddenly went missing a few months ago, during the weeks of lockdown, and that we had to learn how to recalibrate, to restrict, to transform, to experience differently.

Spazi è il titolo dell’ultimo progetto di residenza d’artista ideato da Fallani Venezia e curato da Illustrazioni Seriali, che dal 2017 propone mostre e approfondimenti legati al mondo dell’illustrazione.
Elenia Beretta, Martina Paukova, Michela Picchi, Ana Popescu, Beya Rebaï, Charlotte Trounce, artiste e illustratrici di fama internazionale, sono state invitate a ideare e sviluppare un’opera originale, ciascuna secondo la propria tecnica artistica e la propria sensibilità, che indaghi il concetto di SPAZIO. Le sei opere diventeranno sei serigrafie che le artiste, assieme a Gianpaolo Fallani, stanno realizzando durante il periodo di residenza. Per una settimana partecipano al processo di produzione, lavorazione e stampa delle grafiche, confrontandosi con una tecnica molto utilizzata in ambito artistico e ancora così artigianale e affascinante.
Le serigrafie, tutte di formato 70×50 cm., saranno stampate su carta Fedrigoni Arena da 300 grammi, in una preziosa edizione limitata di 50 copie, firmate e numerate dalle artiste.
Le sei artiste selezionate, hanno avuto la possibilità di confrontarsi con il tema dello spazio, un tema deliberatamente ampio, che potesse dare una grande libertà di interpretazione nella creazione dell’elaborato. Spazio, quello che improvvisamente ci è venuto a mancare qualche mese fa, nelle settimane di lockdown, e che abbiamo dovuto imparare a ricalibrare, a limitare, a modificare, a vivere diversamente.
